What is known, and what is not
The public Steam hub shows the missing-autosave question, but the available excerpt does not establish whether the file was deleted, hidden, replaced or later recovered. A report of roughly two hours of play also does not reveal the game's saving interval. None of those missing details should become a troubleshooting fact.
An earlier patch fixed an erroneous save lock related to being in water. A save lock and a previously visible autosave disappearing are different symptoms. There is no evidence here connecting this later report to that earlier bug, so updating cannot be presented as a guaranteed recovery.
Keep recovery separate from demo transfer
The developer has said demo progress will continue in the full game. That promise does not describe how to recover an already missing demo entry, and the release transfer has not been tested here. Preserve the progress you can still access before any launch-day migration.
A verified game-specific file location and backup/restore procedure are still pending. Until those are established, this guide deliberately avoids guessing a Windows folder or telling you which file to remove. Record screenshots of the Load screen and any error message without sharing personal account details publicly.
