The short answer

Tending the university garden is a confirmed Songs of Glimmerwick system. Official material describes ordinary and magical planting, enchanted tools and rain-making magic. Crop prices, growth days and yields have not yet been verified for this reference.

Garden work belongs to the school-life loop

The official overview places the university garden alongside classes, friendships and exploration. It is a recurring part of the student experience, not a separate claim that the whole game is a commercial farm simulator. Songs are one of the ways the game connects that work with its wider magic system.

The developer advertises both mundane and arcane planting. We do not turn those descriptions into a list of crop names or growth categories. An evocative phrase in a feature overview is not a substitute for actual plant data.

Tools and music are connected

Official footage and text describe tools enchanted to work and clouds summoned for rain. That establishes the kinds of assistance magic can provide. It does not tell us the exact song titles, input sequences, target rules or costs for each garden action.

If the first song feels difficult, the music guide is the practical next page. Eastshade made Song of Tilling easier in June and clarified that stars are not required to cast. Do not interpret an unsuccessful mastery attempt as proof that you cannot perform a garden spell.

Plan tasks before planning profit

The current wiki does not have verified seed prices, harvest yields, growth times or seasonal boundaries. A profit calculator needs all of those fields and their relationships. Showing a plausible number now would make the tool attractive but unreliable.

The day planner can still be useful: record the garden tasks that your own game asks you to do and the places you intend to revisit. Its entries are personal reminders, not a model of crop growth. The garden beginner guide also keeps the historical watering-can fix visible without calling it a current universal bug.
