The short answer

Yes. Eastshade Studios says you will be able to continue from your Songs of Glimmerwick demo save after full release. This is a developer-confirmed plan; the transfer cannot yet be verified against the unreleased full game.

What the statement actually promises

The April 4 demo announcement explicitly connected the opening hours to later full-game continuation. Eastshade repeated the point during June Next Fest: the save should pick up where you left off. That is strong evidence that playing now is intended to be progress toward the full adventure, rather than a separate disposable scenario.

The statements do not spell out a manual import procedure, cross-device migration steps, or a rule for every future patch. We therefore do not publish a folder-copy recipe or guarantee that an arbitrary modified save will transfer.

A low-risk preparation checklist

Keep the demo save you want to continue. Make a note of the character and the last point you reached so that you can recognize the correct slot later. Our checklist stores that preparation state only in your browser; checking a box does not back up a game save.

Let Steam finish its normal update and synchronization activity before switching devices. The current full-game listing advertises Steam Cloud, but a Cloud label is not a substitute for checking whether a particular save exists on the device where you will play. Do not delete the demo files just because a web checklist says you are ready.

What to verify on September 30

After the full game is actually available, start by checking its own Continue or save-selection interface. Confirm the character and progress before overwriting any slot. If a transfer instruction appears in the launch announcement, use that build-specific instruction as the authority.

If your save is not visible, stop before making speculative file moves. Record the game version, operating system and whether the save is present in the demo, then consult the official support channels. We will add an exact transfer procedure only after it can be reproduced or is explicitly documented.
