The short answer

Windows PC through Steam is the confirmed September 30, 2026 release. Gematsu reports that consoles will follow later, without a specific date or current platform list. The store API currently lists Windows, not native macOS or Linux.

PC launch means the Windows Steam version

The official API has Windows enabled and macOS and Linux disabled in the platform fields. That is the available storefront declaration. It should not be widened into a native build promise for other operating systems just because the game can be launched through a compatibility layer.

Before installing, check the published PC requirements and current Steam client support. Store minimums are useful boundaries; they are not a benchmark for your hardware, display resolution or preferred frame rate.

Keep console plans separate from the PC date

The August release coverage from Gematsu attributes a later console release to Eastshade, with the consoles unspecified. We use that limited wording. An old reveal article, retailer listing or page category mentioning Switch, PlayStation or Xbox is not enough to assign the September PC date to those systems.

The console page is a status explanation rather than a preorder directory. It will need a direct announcement or official platform listing before a platform-specific release table can be completed.

A controller label is not a handheld test

Steam’s full-controller-support category is encouraging for pad users, but it answers a different question from Steam Deck compatibility. Deck testing also needs readable text, working input prompts, stable performance and a known software configuration.

We have not run that test or verified a current Valve compatibility rating. Treat reports from an individual preview as observations of that particular build and device, not as proof of the launch version. The public demo is the official opportunity to assess your own setup.
