The short answer

Steam currently lists 3 GB RAM, 4 GB storage and a 64-bit Windows system for Songs of Glimmerwick. The game’s minimum OS field says Windows 7, but the same store page notes that the Steam client supports Windows 10 and later.

Read both Windows statements

The OS field and the client-support footnote answer different questions. The former is the developer’s published game requirement; the latter concerns the software used to access the Steam version. Quoting “Windows 7 supported” without that caveat would omit a practical installation constraint.

We have not tested this game on legacy Windows versions. We also do not substitute an invented minimum for the field that Steam actually displays. Use a currently supported Steam-client environment and check the official listing again before purchase.

Minimum requirements do not predict frame rate

The listed hardware does not include a resolution, graphics preset or frame-rate target. There is therefore no source-backed basis here for a “60 FPS on any laptop” claim. A GPU name or a low storage requirement alone cannot establish how the game will behave on your particular system.

The public demo is a more relevant way to assess readability, input behavior and performance on your own computer. Record your settings and hardware if you encounter a problem, so that any report can be reproduced rather than compared with an unspecified benchmark.

Leave room for the actual installation

Four gigabytes is the currently published available-space requirement, not a guaranteed exact download size. Downloads, installed files and temporary update space are different quantities. Check the Steam install dialog for what is needed on your selected drive.

The recommended section is not a second complete specification; it currently repeats only the 64-bit requirement. We leave the other recommended fields unfilled instead of manufacturing an ideal build. Requirements remain pre-release and will be checked again at launch.
