The short answer

First distinguish a controller that produces no input from one showing confusing button symbols. Eastshade's 0.465 demo notes acknowledge unfinished PlayStation prompts, and 0.466 restored that update after a rollback. The documented map action is a right-stick click. These notes support diagnosis; they do not establish a universal controller fix or full-release compatibility.

What to do

  1. Record the installed build and controller model before changing settings.
  2. Check whether controller input moves through the game's menu. Note no response separately from a wrong icon.
  3. For map access in the documented demo input mode, press the right stick inward rather than moving it sideways.
  4. Compare displayed bindings with your current control settings. If the problem persists, report the exact action and symbol to the developer.

A wrong symbol is not the same as no input

The April patch specifically mentions PlayStation button sprites still being wrong. That is a dated development note, not proof that all PlayStation controllers remain broken. Equally, the existence of controller support does not prove that a particular model, adapter or connection has been tested here.

If menus respond but one tutorial is confusing, capture the prompt and describe what happens when you follow it. If nothing responds anywhere, say that explicitly. These two cases need different investigation and should not be merged into one assumed solution.

Make the problem reproducible

Include the platform, game build, controller model, wired or wireless connection, and any input remapping in your report.
